Century 21 Blue Marlin Grows Team by Four Agents

Century 21 Blue Marlin is pleased to announce that their award-winning team has grown by four agents.

Kimberly Belcher Alford joins the PURE Coastal Team, the commercial branch of Century 21 Blue Marlin. A graduate with a degree in marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University, Alford began her career as a realtor 13 years ago, and has since found a niche with families looking to relocate and buyers purchasing primary and secondary homes in Northwest Florida. Additionally, Alford’s resume has solidified her as a local trusted and knowledgeable real estate source for residences within Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort and various gated and condominium communities on the Emerald Coast.  Alford thrives on repeat business, a master of connecting with the needs of her clients, treats every home she buys and sells for her clients as if they were her very own.

Chris Bent is from Fort Branch, Indiana, but fell in love with the Emerald Coast while spending his spring breaks in Seaside. Not long after making the move to the area in 2008, Bent purchased his first home in Santa Rosa Beach, which sparked his love for real estate. After the birth of his son in 2016, Bent knew it was time to follow his dreams and embark on a new career path. As a member of the National Association of Realtors, Bent uses his knowledge and passion to help others find their dream home and own a piece of paradise.

“The team at Century 21 Blue Marlin has become a second family to me, making me feel at home since day one,” said Bent. “I’m looking forward to continue growing my real estate career and to see what the future holds.”

Darette Joy (DJ) Villareal-Sorensen was born in the Philippines and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, before making Destin home in 2012. Villareal-Sorensen’s 10 year’s in the customer service industry will go hand in hand with the satisfaction of her real estate clients. While real estate is a new venture for Villareal-Sorensen she’s approaching the career with the same drive and attention.

“I've always been interested in real estate, and after some changes in my personal life I felt it was time to make the leap,” said Villareal-Sorensen. “After meeting with Century 21 Blue Marlin brokers, Jerry Sullivan & Johnathan Hughes, their enthusiasm, along with the energy and vibe of the office, were the ultimate deciding factors for where I wanted to hang my license. I'm excited to have the opportunity to be a part of amplifying my client's lifestyles by helping them find their piece of our beautiful emerald coast.”

Angie Wright has joined the team at Century 21 Blue Marlin, as a Broker Associate. A resident of the Emerald Coast since 1989, Angie earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of West Florida. After beginning her career in the field of government contracting, she discovered her love for real estate in 2003 and has since devoted the last 14 years to both residential and land development, earning her Florida Broker's License in 2013. Wright now resides in Destin, Florida, with her two sons, Noah and Caleb. In her new role at Century 21 Blue Marlin, Wright will bring her knowledge of luxury and investment properties to work for her clients.

Hopping through the Emerald Coast!

Happy {almost} Easter, everyone! This year, instead of sticking to the traditional egg hunt at your house, branch out and check out some of the Emerald Coast's finest Easter traditions!

On Saturday, Destiny Worship Center is hosting an Eggstravaganza! This family friendly event will feature inflatables, food, and bring your baskets, because there will be multiple Easter egg hunts! Every child will receive candy, and one whoever finds the Golden Egg will get four season passes to Big Kahuna! Afterwards, everyone is invited to stick around for dinner.  There will be four different hunts for each age group:
Up to 5 Years of Age: 4:15 p.m.
Kindergarten - 2nd Grade: 4:30 p.m.
3rd - 5th Grade: 4:45 p.m.
Special Needs: 5:00 p.m.

Start your Easter Sunday off early with a worship service on the beach, courtesy of Hope Lutheran Church! At 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. rejoice and give thanks on the beach at Ed Walline Park, directly across from Gulf Place. As you watch the sun rise, sing along with the choir and praise God, all while overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. For a more traditional service, join Hope Lutheran Church at 10:15 a.m. indoors!

After church, we know you'll be hungry, which is why Brotula's Seafood House & Steamer is hosting an Easter Brunch from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.! Featuring an Omelet Station, Carving Station, Buffet and craft cocktails, Brotula's Brunch will leave you feeling full. While you dine, listen to Mose Wilson And The Delta Twang from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and don't forget your camera, because the Easter bunny will be there for photo ops! To make a reservation, please call (850) 460-8900.

If you're looking for a place that the kids can run around while you snack and sip, The Hub is your Easter spot! The Hub is hosting Easter Jazz Brunch, Movie Matinee and Egg Hunt on Sunday, starting at 10:00 a.m. with brunch. At 11:00 a.m., the New Orleans' Ramblers will take the stage to serenade brunch goers with upbeat jazz music. Then, at 12:30 p.m., the movie "Hop" will be projected onto the stage. And at 2:00 p.m. get your baskets ready, because the Easter egg hunt will begin!

Sing along at The Market Shops Free Spring Concert Series this Sunday! Starting at 1:00 p.m. on the lawn, Donnie Sundal will take the stage for a free concert! You can lounge on the lawn, or grab a bite to eat al fresco at Bijoux while you rock out with Donnie! DIG, located in the Fountain Courtyard, will also be offering a special Easter Brunch. And if you can't make it this week, don't worry, The Market Shops is continuing their Sunday Concert Series for the next two weeks!

Search in the sand for hidden prizes at LuLu's Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.! The Easter Bunny will be hopping through, hiding eggs, and posing for pictures. This FREE event will be fun for the whole family, so be sure to save room for a snack, such as LuLu's "Holy Guacamole"!

And wait, there's more! If you want to start your Easter Egg Hunt early, The Harbor and The Village of Baytowne Wharf are each hosting hunts on Saturday. Or, if you want to race through the hunt, be sure to check out the 5K Run and Easter Egg Hunt at Grayton State Park! And for something different, be sure to stop by 30Avenue for the first annual Easter Egg Bocce Ball Tournament. Then on Easter Sunday, Watercolor Inn, The Destin Harbor, Caliza, Havanna Beach Bar, The Bay, and Cuvee 30A will be serving up brunch! If you want to push your celebrating through the evening, be sure to stop by Fish Out Of Water for dinner and finish the day at Rosemary for their Easter Celebration!

From all of us at Century 21 Blue Marlin, we hope that you and your family have an egg-tastic Easter!

And don't forget to SAVE THE DATE for the Dual Chamber Business After Hours on April 27! The Destin Chamber of Commerce and Walton Area Chamber of Commerce are teaming up for this joint networking event at Sunset Bay Cafe, sponsored by Century 21 Blue Marlin and A Superior Air Conditioning Company. This event is free for Chamber members, and only $10 for Prospective members. To register, please go online here!
