2nd Annual Blue Marlin Realty Group Charity Golf Tournament

We will be hosting our second annual Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, November 14 at Regatta Bay Golf and Country Club!

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit The Taylor Haugen Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides grants, education and funding to athletic teams, schools and districts through its YESS (Youth Equipment for Sports Safety) Program. The Foundation also recognizes and supports outstanding scholar-athletes with scholarships and awards.  Started in 2011, Brian and Kathy Haugen created the foundation in memory of their late son, Taylor, who passed away from a football related injury in 2008. “It is a matter of honoring Taylor and kind of continuing his legacy and doing something that will have a lasting impression and make a difference and protect children and parents from having to go through what we’ve had to go through,” Kathy Haugen said.



The tournament will begin with registration at 9:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 11 a.m.  Entrance fees are $125 per person and $400 to sign up a foursome. All tournament players will receive a free lunch courtesy of Lenny’s Sub Shop. Following the tournament there will be an after-party sponsored by Beaches, Resorts and Parks and Henderson Park Inn held at the Regatta Bay Clubhouse with food donated by Landshark’s Pizza, a silent auction and live entertainment.  The tournament and after party is open to the public. Following the after party, golfers and guests are invited to a private party at La Paz off Holiday Isle.




Last year's tournament raised $12,002.32 for the Mary Lynne Burnett Memorial Foundation, which provides scholarships to Okaloosa and/or Walton county high school students that have shown dedication to their education in spite of challenging circumstances such as the loss of a parent, major illness, etc. Blue Marlin Realty Group Realtor, Doug Burnett, created the foundation in honor of his late wife that passed away in 2008 from breast cancer.

Fabulous Fall Events on the Emerald Coast

The 36th Annual Destin Seafood Festival will be held October 3rd - 5th along the beautiful Destin Harbor and the Harbor Boardwalk right on the water, with the action of the Destin Fishing Rodeo right in the heart of the Festival. There is to be lots of excitement along the docks; come join the fun! This is so much more than a festival - It is a tribute to the rich history of the Destin Harbor and the Fishing community.


Wine World's Destin Beer Festival will feature high-end craft and microbrews on display Saturday, September 27th, from 2 to 5 p.m. (with VIP event starting at 1pm.) The event will also offer various culinary stations, a VIP Tent, live entertainment and a merchandise booth. Some of the biggest names in the craft brewing industry will be exhibiting at this event! Proceeds from this year's event benefit Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, which raises funds for Northwest FL children in need! Tickets for VIP are $50 in advance and $60 the day of. For those that purchased VIP tickets, you get into the fest an hour early, at 1pm to schmooze with the beer celebs (maybe get an autograph), swap beer making stories and taste something special from their cask that no one else will get to sip!

South Walton Fashion Week is a large-scale, multi-day event along Northwest Florida's Gulf Coast that celebrates high fashion by featuring regional rising designers and models, chic local boutiques and designers, runway shows, retail shopping experiences and VIP parties.  The event, held October 6th - 12th, is presented by Visit South Walton and produced by theCultural Arts Alliance of Walton County in partnership with Grand Boulevard.  Net proceeds benefit the Arts in Education Program of the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County.
